The Under 19 Boys and Girls Badminton teams travelled to AMIS to participate in the SISAC Pool B City Badminton Championships. Final Team score was based on the best of 5 matches. The Renaissnance’s girls played well throughout and continued to try as hard as they could throughout the Championships. Credit to the girls that took part yesterday: Tiffany, Nguyen, Bani, Alice, Thu, Ayoung and Kaylie. Well done!

The boys played against the same schools and in our matches we beat SSIS 5-0, TIS 5-0 and TAS 4-1. This put us into the final against AMIS A team. In the first Singles match Min Jun won his match 2-0, Brian lost two very close games 2-0, Brad won his Singles game 2-0, Min Chan and Jonny lost 2-0 so with the score of 2-2 it was down to the final doubles pair of Min Goo and Khang as to who would be Champions. The first game went Renaissance way, the second went AMIS A, so it meant the final game would decide who would take the trophy home. At one point in the final game the score was 17-17 and through a great deal of resilience I am pleased to say they held on to win the final game 21-19.

Renaissance Boys Champions!!!! Congratulations!

A huge thank you to Mr Peter D for helping with the girls team yesterday. Also thanks to all the players who have not only performed well at the City Championships but also throughout the long season.
