This year, a cohort of 38 students participated in the demanding IGCSE examinations, showcasing exceptional dedication and prowess in their academic pursuits. Their hard work and commitment turned into fruitful results, with standout performances in key subjects:

• International Mathematics: A remarkable 89% of students achieved A* & A grades, showcasing mastery of intricate mathematical concepts that are globally recognized for their difficulty. International Mathematics is a challenging subject that covers a wide range of mathematical topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and calculus. It requires strong problem-solving skills, mathematical reasoning, and a solid foundation to prepare students for IBDP HL Mathematics and beyond.
• English First Language: 75% of students attained A* & A grades, demonstrating proficiency in language and literature, a feat accomplished by only a select percentage of students worldwide. It gives a strong focus on improving students’ advanced language use, reading comprehension, speaking, listening and writing skills, get them ready for English A or B in the IBDP.
• French: An impressive 80% of students excelled with A* & A grades, demonstrating fluency in the language and deep cultural appreciation. French is widely spoken in more than 30 countries and an official language of many international organisations (UN, EU, UNESCO, etc.). Studying French at IGCSE level not only enhances students’ linguistic abilities but also broaden their cultural awareness and global opportunities.

• English Literature: A flawless performance as every student secured A* to C grades, highlighting a profound understanding of literary works. It provides students with the opportunity to gain further knowledge and understanding of international poetry, prose and drama, prepare them well for the advanced IBDP English A course, and beyond if they wish to pursue a career in literature.
• Coordinated Science (Double-award): An exceptional 80% of students achieved A* to C grades, a noteworthy achievement in this rigorous subject, a rare offering with its double award status in the IGCSE curriculum. The subject covers aspects of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics within a single subject. It provides added value for students aiming to pursue IB sciences or other science-related qualifications.

IB World School – An IB Continuum of Learning

Our journey with the International Baccalaureate (IB) began in April 2009, when Renaissance was officially authorised to deliver the Diploma Programme. Just two years later, in 2011, we proudly celebrated the graduation of our very first IB Diploma cohort.

Building on that foundation, our commitment to inquiry-driven and globally minded education expanded across all age groups. In 2024, we were authorised to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP), reauthorised to offer the DP Program followed by the Middle Years Programme (MYP) in 2025. These authorisations mark a defining achievement:

Renaissance is now recognised as a full IB Continuum School—the only one of its kind in Ho Chi Minh City.

Cambridge International Education – Strong Foundations

Since our establishment in 2007, Renaissance has offered the Cambridge curriculum, including the IGCSE Programme for Years 10 and 11. This rigorous academic pathway continues to provide our students with strong foundations before they progress into the IB Diploma Programme.

Renaissance has been a proud Council of International Schools (CIS) member since 2016.
