Renaissance International School Saigon has a keen interest in recognising and rewarding talent, particularly from amongst disadvantaged students. We are pleased to offer scholarship opportunities to prospective students who wish to join the school’s close-knit community.
We want the worthy to benefit from the wonderful education available at Renaissance International School, to discover their full potential and achieve future success at university and beyond.
The school offers three types of scholarship:
1. Academic Scholarships
Note: Submission Due Date for the 2026-2027 Academic Year is Friday 6th March, 2026.
Our scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, as well as a strong character and a commitment to personal growth.
HOW TO APPLY
Step 1: Submitting Written Documents
1. Completing the Application Package
- Download and complete the Application package.
2. Letter of Application (Written by the Applicant)
Please include the following in approximately 300 words:
- Explain why you are applying for the Academic Scholarship at Renaissance International School Saigon.
- Provide a self-evaluation of your strengths.
- Describe how you will contribute to the school’s community or programs.
3. Written References
Please include two (2) references:
– School Reference – from your current Headteacher or Teacher, commenting on:
- Academic ability within the school curriculum.
- Involvement in school life.
- Ability to work independently and evidence of self-initiated projects.
– Parent/Guardian Letter – explaining how your family will support you if awarded the scholarship.
4. Supporting Documentation:
– Certificates of achievement or awards.
- If the candidate has undertaken IGCSE examinations, candidates are expected to have achieved A or A* at IGCSE in the majority of subjects selected to be studied for the IBDP (or in subjects requiring equivalent skills). For Maths, English (1st or 2nd language papers) and Science, we expect successful candidates to have achieved an A* at IGCSE.
- If a strong applicant has not undertaken Cambridge IGCSE examinations up to this point, they are still warmly invited to apply.
– Evidence of participation in competitions.
– One recent photo of the applicant (portrait, 4 x 6 cm).
– A copy of the applicant’s birth certificate, passport, or ID card.
– School reports for the past two academic years.
– Copies of both parents’ or guardians’ passports or ID cards (photo page with passport or ID number).

6. Deadline
Fully Completed Applications Need to Be Submitted before 6th March 2026.
Late or incomplete applications may not be considered.
Step 2: Attend the entrance assessment at the school.
After reviewing the submitted application documents, short-list applicants will be invited to take the entrance assessment at the school.
The application fee is 4,000,000 VND and will be refunded in the following cases:
- The applicant is awarded a scholarship and enrolls at the school.
- The school decides not to grant a scholarship to the applicant.
Step 3: Attend the Academic Examination
Qualified applicants will be invited to participate in:
– A School Academic Examination for the Academic Scholarship.
These sessions will take place on an advised date to you by the Admissions Department.
2. Music Scholarships
Note: Submission Due Date for the 2026-2027 Academic Year is Friday 6th March, 2026.
Our scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional musical excellence, as well as a strong character and a commitment to personal growth.
HOW TO APPLY

- Explain why you are applying for a Music Scholarship at Renaissance International School Saigon.

- Academic ability within the school curriculum.

– Parent/Guardian Letter – explaining how your family will support you if awarded the scholarship.

Grade examination certificates such as ABRSM or equivalent.
– Evidence of participation in competitions or performances.
– One recent photo of the applicant (portrait, 4 x 6 cm).
– A copy of the applicant’s birth certificate, passport, or ID card.
– School reports for the past two academic years.
– Copies of both parents’ or guardians’ passports or ID cards (photo page with passport or ID number).

Two performance videos must be uploaded to YouTube, set to Public, and each should be 2–5 minutes long.
Include the YouTube links in your submission email.
