The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework creates a positive learning environment for young children.

The EYFS framework sets the standards for optimal learning, development and safety of children from birth to five years old, according to Early Years Alliance, a registered educational charity organization in the UK with 14,000 members.

The EYFS framework focuses on the seven areas of learning and development that form the educational programme. There are three prime areas of development that are fundamental – communication and language skills; personal, social and emotional development; and physical development.
