Swimming Pool

We are proud of our five-lane, 25m, indoor saltwater pool which is situated on the ground floor near the School’s Dining Room. Students love their swimming lessons and our competitive swim teams are a popular part of the Curriculum and Activities Programme. At Renaissance, we have our own dedicated Swim Coach.

Library

Library

Our Renaissance Library serves as a hub for information, technology, and reading literacy. A warm and inviting sanctuary for students, with a regularly updated collection and dedicated study space, the Library is well-used and is a space to stimulate and entice intellectual exploration. Digital Literacy courses inform the students about how to get the most from this facility, promoting academic integrity and intellectual property rights. The Library Programme is led by a fully trained Teacher-Librarian who provides a full range of services to Early Years, Primary, Secondary and IBDP students.

Dining Room

Our light and spacious Dining Room provides students with a comfortable and relaxing eating environment. The cafeteria provision is outsourced to Skyline, a modern catering company based in Ho Chi Minh City. An extensive choice of food is offered. Asian, Korean, Western and Vegetarian options are available daily.

Sports Hall

Home to the Lions and Lionesses, the proud and competitive wearers of the Renaissance team kits, the Sports Hall is undergoing renovation for the beginning of the new academic year. It promises to be an exciting new space to see the necessary skills development, training and participation in our extensive sporting programme.

Our renovated multi-purpose airconditioned indoor gymnasium will allow for a variety of sports, developing coordination, agility and flexibility. The floor is a wooden sports surface, with high-impact absorption.

ADVENTURE ADVENTURE

OutdoorArea

Our Renaissance Outdoor Area enables students to exercise, enjoy each other’s company and involve themselves in the natural world. Their imagination is stimulated by ‘hidden’ pathways through bushes and borders and their emotional health and well-being is cared for by having shaded seating areas where students can chat, relax (even lie down) and listen to the sounds of the waterfall. The shaded seating areas are big enough to take entire classes for learning outdoors.

Astroturf Football Field

This area in the centre of the school is a hive of activity during break times and lunch time recess. Students can play and run on a surface that is hard-wearing, safe and flood-free. During lesson times students utilise this area, along with the Sports Hall, for skills-based lessons.

This space is also the central area for many of our well-attended community events, such as Tet, UN Winter Fayre and the Family Fun Days.

MakerSpace

In this subject, we teach product and digital design using multiple media, such as textiles, wood, acrylic and traditional modelling. We teach CAD/CAM design, 3D printing and modelling, using laser cutters. In addition, the teaching of Art and Design Textiles is fully supported through the use of CAD/CAM embroidery machines, an overlocker and PC-connected sewing machines.

Our MakerSpace houses additional equipment to solve problems, innovate, experiment, and discover how things work in a project-based environment. Coding, robotics, and model-making are available for all students, both Primary and Secondary.
