Ms Trang Tran Nha

Teacher of EAL

Nationality: Vietnamese
Position at Renaissance: Teacher of EAL
Education and Qualifications: BA (English Teaching) – HCMC University of Pedagogy CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Adults
Teaching Experience: I have been working as an EAL teacher for more than 2 years, teaching English and giving in-class support to small groups of students who need more academic English in order to cope well with mainstream lessons. Assisting EAL students in, especially, Science and Humanities classes gives me a chance to learn more about the KS3 curriculum and enlarge my English teaching methodology.
Professional Accomplishments: Last summer, I gained the CELTA qualification. This course has given me valuable teaching techniques, adding to my experience as a teacher of English. In addition, I was very lucky to attend an EARCOS Professional Development Workshop conducted by Paul Ginnis, a teacher trainer who gave us valuable ideas for teaching successful lessons.
Description: As an EAL teacher, I enjoy teaching students how to use English correctly and develop a love of English. I believe in a relaxing learning environment where my small groups of students can learn and play, applying the new things they have learnt from my lessons. I love reading. I always encourage my students to read good English books, from which they can learn about people and the world.
