Teaching Experience:  I began my career teaching Religion, Philosophy and Ethics from KS3 TO KS5. I am a qualified teacher of 21 years with a full range of teaching experiences from class teacher to senior leadership.  Throughout this time I have worked with the full range of stakeholders within a school setting: governors, senior leadership, teachers, parents, students, and agencies from health and educational backgrounds. The last twelve years have been dedicated to special educational needs and inclusion.

Professional Accomplishments: Head of Department, Head of Year KS3 and KS4, Head of House, Child Protection Officer Specialist tutor and family advocate, SENCO, dyslexia specialist and educational assessor. Most recently I have been working in Thailand developing the transition, assessment and intervention strategies for an inclusive international school.

Description:  I will arrive at Renaissance with a calm and determined approach to working with people and embracing the challenges that education provides. Alongside teaching I have a background in developing and coaching women’s and youth football. Whilst at my previous school I was the school link with a children’s shelter and an active member in the Round Square projects.
