National Poetry Day

On Thursday, 28th of September, the school will take part in the National Poetry Day, organised by our talented English and Foreign Modern Languages departments. In Early Years and Primary, parents, grandparents and other family members are invited to come in to read poetry to their child’s class, while in Secondary, students will be exploring, learning, and reading poetry in their lessons. All students are also encouraged to take part in our internal and in the global external poetry competitions.

To take part, students must write a 2-line poem about Freedom, and submit it online (for external entry) or to their class teacher (for internal entry). For more information on both competitions or to take part in the EY & Primary poetry reading, please contact your class teacher (Early Years and Primary) or English teacher (for Secondary). Good luck to our talented young poets!
