Dear Members of the Renaissance Community,
It is indeed a privilege to introduce you to Renaissance International School and showcase some of the key features of this unique educational institution.
Founded in 1997, Renaissance provides a high quality international British education across the range of Early Years to Key Stage 5 culminating in the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma in Years 12 and 13.
Central to a Renaissance education is a fundamental commitment to the ideals of Round Square – democracy, service, adventure, international understanding, leadership and environmentalism. These values underpin our thinking and are clearly reflected in practice on a day to day basis.
At Renaissance, we actively promote the development of the whole person emphasizing, in the process, academic and personal excellence in a diverse and language rich environment. Our academic results are consistently on or above the IB world average, our students benefit from small class sizes and the school’s rich co-curricular programmes ensure meaningful learning outside the classroom.
The recent award of full accreditation by the Council of International Schools is due recognition of the school’s quality. It reflects the strong commitment to its mission, the value placed on student welfare and well-being and to international understanding. It also reflects the dedication of the Board, faculty and staff to ongoing improvement and to ensuring that Renaissance is constantly striving to do better across all areas of its operation.
In closing, I am delighted to be leading Renaissance International School at this exciting stage in its development. Ours is a very special community and whether ability is found in the classroom or beyond, Renaissance helps all students unlock their true potential in an environment where every child is unique, every child is encouraged and every student is fully supported.
I look forward to meeting you in person and to welcoming you to the wonderful community that is Renaissance International School, Saigon.
Mr Peter Gittins,
Head of School
